Privacy

Wondertold is a parent-operated family story app. It does not require a child account and is not intended for a child to use independently.

Early-access information we collect

If an adult joins early access after creating a story, we collect the adult’s first name, email address, a broad child age range, referral source, and permission to send product updates and two short check-ins. We use this information to run and evaluate Wondertold’s early access.

Product measurement

We record limited product events such as a landing-page visit, opening the app, creating or saving a story, sharing a story, and viewing the book builder. We use a random browser identifier and referral source to understand the product funnel. We do not collect story text, a child’s name, a birthdate, or the contents of a family profile.

We use Meta Pixel on the landing page to measure visits and after a completed early-access signup to measure results from Facebook advertising. Meta may receive browser, device and activity information under its Privacy Policy. We do not send story text, a child’s name, family profile content, or the first name and email entered in the form through the Pixel.

What stays on your device

Your family profile, saved stories, reading history, and story feedback are stored in your browser on your device. We do not receive that content. Removing the app or clearing browser storage may erase it.

Children

We do not ask children to create accounts, enter personal information, upload photos, record voices, or chat with AI. A parent or caregiver controls the app and reads the story aloud.

Service providers and security

Our hosting provider processes information needed to deliver, secure, and measure early access. Meta processes limited activity for advertising measurement as described above. We do not sell tester information.

Choices

Participants may ask to stop receiving messages or request deletion of their tester record through the contact method used for Wondertold updates. Browser and Meta account controls may also limit advertising cookies and activity measurement.

Changes

If we add accounts, cloud story generation, subscriptions, photos, or voice features, we will update this notice before those features launch.
